Uwe Bott
President and CEO of Cross-Border Finance



Uwe Bott is President and CEO of Cross-Border Finance Inc., an advisory firm aiding corporations and financial institutions to originate, to structure and to manage the risk of cross-border transactions.

Between 1996 and 2001, he was Managing Director and Head of Country Risk at the Structured Finance Group (SFG), a unit of GE Capital Services.

Prior to joining GE Capital, Mr. Bott was a Senior Analyst with the Sovereign Risk Unit at Moody’s Investors Service, a global rating agency covering countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Mr. Bott was a Fulbright scholar at Georgetown University and he also received degrees in law and economics from the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg, Germany.

His publications mostly deal with economic development in Latin America and he regularly appears on financial news television networks. Besides his native German, he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and has some knowledge of French.
