Sabine Muscat
Washington correspondent for Financial Times Deutschland



Sabine Muscat writes about U.S. politics and macroeconomic and social trends for the German daily Financial Times Deutschland and the monthly magazine Capital.

From 2003 to 2007, she edited international news and covered Asian affairs in FTD's Berlin office. She reported from the region during frequent trips to China, Taiwan, Japan, North and South Korea, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Southeast Asia. Prior to that, she had started her career in journalism with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Ms. Muscat speaks fluent Mandarin and has a master's degree in Chinese Studies from the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies.
