Matthew Stepp
Senior Analyst, Information Technology & Innovation Foundation



Matthew Stepp is a senior analyst with the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation (ITIF) specializing in climate change and clean energy policy. His research interests include clean energy technology development, climate science policy, transportation policy and the role of innovation in economic growth.

Before joining ITIF, Mr. Stepp was a fellow at the Breakthrough Institute, a think tank located in Oakland, California, focused on climate and energy policy issues.

He has also served as a fellow with the National Academies' Transportation Research Board and as a research assistant with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

Mr. Stepp holds a M.Sc. in science, technology and public policy from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.S. in meteorology from Millersville University.
