Christian Sautter
Former French Finance and Budget Minister in Lionel Jospin's government and current Deputy Mayor of Paris



Since March 2001, Mr. Sautter has served as the Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of Economic Development.

He is also the President of l’Association France Active, which provides funds to create jobs for the unemployed — and has served as the president of the Paris Development Agency since July 2001.

Prior to that time, he served as Finance and Budget Minister in Lionel Jospin’s government (1999-2000). He also served as Deputy Secretary General of the Presidency under François Mitterand (1982-85, 1988-90).

Mr. Sautter holds degrees from l’Ecole Polytechnique, l’Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique and from L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
