Rachel Konrad

Rachel Konrad is a San Jose, California-based technology correspondent for The Associated Press.

She travelled to Ecuador through her Pew Fellowship in International Journalism.

Ms. Konrad covered technology for two and a half years at the tech news site News.com. Prior to that, she spent five years covering the auto industry and other business issues for the Detroit Free Press.

She has also covered urban development for the Spokane, Washington Spokesman-Review and was a general assignment reporter for the Milwaukee Journal.

In the 1990s, Ms. Konrad spent a year teaching English and traveling in Mexico and Central America. She is a graduate of Northwestern University.
