Mark Medish
A Washington laywer and Visiting Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment



Mark Medish is a partner of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP, and Managing Director of Hampshire Partners, LLC based in Washington, D.C. — as well as a Visiting Scholar at the Carnegie Endowment.

From 2000 to 2001, he was Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director on the U.S. National Security Council for Russian, Ukrainian and Eurasian Affairs.

From 1997 to 2000, he was Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs. Previously, he served as a senior advisor to the United Nations Development Program and to the United States Agency for International Development.
