Anthony Bourdain
Author and Professional Chef

Anthony Bourdain is the Executive Chef at New York City's Brasserie Les Halles restaurant. He is also the author of several novels including Kitchen Confidential and A Cook's Tour.

Mr. Bourdain is the host of A Cook's Tour, a Food Network program, which follows him around the world as he samples exotic cuisine from Ho Chi Minh City to Fez.

Mr. Bourdain was born and raised in New York City. He began his college career at Vassar College. After two years, he left and took up his studies at The Culinary Institute of America.

Mr. Bourdain has since lived and worked in New York City — dividing his time among his three passions of cooking, writing and traveling.

In 2002, Mr. Bourdain was named Best Food and Wine Writer of the Year by Bon Appetit magazine. He was also honored with the Guild of British Food Writers for Kitchen Confidential.
