Matthew Hulbert is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Security Studies, ETH Zurich, focusing on international energy security and political risk.
He was previously a Senior Energy Analyst at Datamonitor in the City of London and headed up the Global Issues Desk at Control Risks Group, specializing in political risk, energy and transnational investment risks for multinational companies and institutional investors.
Prior to this, Mr. Hulbert held political consulting positions at Weber Shandwick Worldwide and worked in a number of parliamentary and think tank positions. He has written numerous advisory papers for leading FTSE 100 companies, the UK government (DfID), World Bank, IMF and Commonwealth of Nations.
He has a B.A. in History and Politics from Durham University and an Mphil in International Relations from Cambridge.
