The Explorer Channel and Global English

The Explorer Channel is a license-only online learning tool designed to prepare middle-school and high-school students around the world to become confident and competent global citizens.

Study abroad — without leaving the classroom...

Through enticing features with a global perspective, The Globalist's Explorer Channel advances global and intercultural thinking in the classroom.

Our unique mosaic-style approach to learning ensures that broad subject areas are covered each week. Students will learn to see the connections between global history, religion, economy, trade, environment, culture, music and health. This built-in oscillation between subjects keeps students intrigued.

Each week opens with a dialogue-style fact sheet and a question and answer-style quote collection. It is followed by a quiz — and two stimulating short essays.

A timeless mosaic for global learning

The Explorer Channel is accessible via a password-protected link from your school (or school library's) homepage — or delivered to students' and teachers' email inboxes.

Over the course of the school year, The Explorer Channel provides teachers and students with a valuable mosaic of timeless features on our emerging global community.

Our mission is to pair education and insight with a dose of discovery about global issues — and a touch of entertainment.
