Benjamin MacShane is a French-British journalist based between Rome and Bogotá. He writes on issues affecting politics and culture.

After graduating from Edinburgh University and SOAS, he started working in Beirut. This coincided with the 2019 Thawra, a mass social protest movement which provided the spark to want to write stories.

Benjamin’s other interests include food, dancing, foreign policy and migration, and he is currently writing a series of stories about Colombia.
