Benjamin MacShane is a French-British researcher based in Beirut working on democracy promotion and conflict resolution.

He has written on Middle East and Arab politics and, in addition to Beirut, has lived in Kuwait City.

Benjamin graduated from Edinburgh University and SOAS in London University.
