Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Practice, Hill & Knowlton

Dan Morrison is Senior Vice President and Director of the Corporate Practice in Hill & Knowlton Washington’s office. He has provided direction and strategic counsel to a host of foreign and domestic clients.

Prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, he was a U.S. State Department official, advising on economic foreign policy issues. Most recently, Mr. Morrison served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs. He also served as a speechwriter for Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Before joining the State Department, Mr. Morrison spent six years at IBM in New York, where he held an array of communications positions in speechwriting, corporate strategy, research and internal/executive communications.

He is a Pulitzer-nominated journalist, having covered the global telecommunications industry for Bloomberg News in the mid-1990s. Prior his journalism career, Dan advised international companies in Brussels on European Union affairs.

Dan Morrison has a Masters Degree in International Relations from Cambridge University in England and a Bachelors in Arts from the University of North Carolina. He speaks French, Italian and basic Mandarin.
