Éloi Laurent

Senior Economist, OFCE

Éloi Laurent is a senior economist at OFCE (Sciences Po Center for economic research). His research agenda currently focuses on sustainability and welfare economics. He has a background in policy-making, as a former aide in the French Parliament (1999-2000) and for the French prime minister (2000-2002).

Based in Paris, he teaches at Sciences-po, Stanford University and the Collège des hautes études européennes (La Sorbonne).

Mr. Laurent was a former aide in the French Parliament and for the French prime minister.

He has been a visiting scholar or professor at Montreal University, Harvard, New York University, Columbia University and in the Center for European Studies at Harvard University. He has authored or edited fifteen books and over a hundred scientific articles.

Éloi Laurent holds a Ph.D. in economics and a master’s degree from the University Paris-Dauphine in international economics and graduated summa cum laude from Sciences Po (political science and economics).
