John Reader

Writer and Photojournalist

John Reader, who currently lives in London, is a writer and photojournalist.

He holds an Honorary Research Fellowship in the Department of Anthropology at University College London and is a fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute and the Royal Geographic Society.

He is the author of “Africa: A Biography of a Continent,” Man on Earth” and “Kilimanjaro.”

He regularly contributes to international publications and consultants for the United Nations Environment Programme.
