Sara Hussein is a British-Egyptian journalist living in Washington, D.C.

Her expertise includes U.S. foreign policy, the "war on terror," international human rights law and the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Previously, she has worked in and reported from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, covering the settler movement and the 2005 disengagement process.

She has an MA in social sciences from the University of Chicago, for which she wrote a thesis on anti-terror legislation and human rights law. She also holds a BA in journalism from the American University in Cairo.
