Research Fellow, Bruegel

Juan Delgado joined Bruegel as a Research Fellow in September 2005.

Until August 2005, he was the Repsol YPF Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Prior to that, Juan worked as an economist at DG Competition of the European Commission from 2001 to 2004 and with the Spanish telecommunications regulator from 1999 to 2001.

Juan holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and received the Universidad Carlos III Ph.D. Extraordinary Award (2001-2002) for the best Ph.D. thesis in economics.

His research at Bruegel is focused on markets, competition and regulation. In 2007, he was one of the writers of Bruegel’s first Blueprint, “Energy: The Choices for Europe.”
