Carolina Barrios Martínez is a Colombian political scientist and journalist involved in humanitarian disarmament, human rights and digital security.

Her career spans investigative research, project management and strategic communication — with experience at Insight Crime, FTI Consulting and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). She has contributed to high impact reports and writes as a freelancer.

Carolina currently works as Assistant Manager of Humanitarian Disarmament at the Colombian Campaign to Ban Landmines (CCBL) — where she advocates to reduce the human suffering caused by multiple weapons.

She is also part of multiple movements — such as Youth Network of Stop Killer Robots and Mine Action Fellows from Mine Action Canada.
