Prime Minister of France

Dominique de Villepin has served as Prime Minister of France since May 2005. A career diplomat, he served as chief of staff of the minister of foreign affairs (1993-1995) and secretary general of the presidency (1995-2002).

In June 2002, Mr. Villepin was appointed foreign minister. He served in this capacity until March 2004, when he assumed the post of interior minister.

Dominique de Villepin was born in Rabat, Morocco and raised in various countries around Latin America.
