Brussels-based free-lance journalist
Holger Quiring is a Brussels-based free-lance journalist.
He had previously served as Executive Editor of International Economy and Finance for the German business wire service Vereinigte Wirtschaftsdienste (VWD) in Brussels.
Prior to that, Mr. Quiring worked as a correspondent in Bonn for the German news agency DPA, from 1968 to 1975.
In 1975, Mr. Quiring joined the SPD press office and worked closely with Willy Brandt on issues of international politics. And from 1978 to 1982, he ran the liason office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Rome.
Mr Quiring is a classical philogist by trade.
