Jean-Louis Doublet has been an Agence France-Presse correspondent in the United States since 1997 — first in New York and now in Washington. In that capacity, he has been covering the White House since 2002.

Before covering the United States, Mr. Doublet was based in Brussels, where he reported on the EU, and also in Stockholm, where he covered the Nordic Countries.

Mr. Doublet studied at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris. He is married and has four children.
