Professor of History at Catholic University of America

Jerry Z. Muller is currently a Professor of Histroy at the Catholic University of America. Prior to this, Dr. Muller was a visiting scholar of residence at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs in 1993-94.

Dr. Muller received his B.A. in History from Brandeis University and his Ph.D. in History from Columbia University. He has been honored in the Who’s Who in America in 2002 and in The Writers Directory 2002. Throughout his life he has received a variety of fellowships and grants.

In his latest book, The Mind and the Market: Capitalism in Modern European Thought (Knopf, 2002), Dr Muller presents a social and political examination capitalism through the eyes of more than a dozen European thinkers, including Adam Smith, Joseph Schumpeter, and Friedrich Hayek.
