Klaus Moessle

Klaus Moessle spent most of his career in the financial industry. Until 2016, he worked for Fidelity International as Managing Director Institutional Asset Management and Retirement Solutions in Germany. Before joining Fidelity in 2004, Moessle had been a Managing Director for institutional clients and pension solutions at Deutsche Asset Management where he started in 1989 as head of legal, compliance and tax.

Prior to this he worked as an attorney at the leading law firms Hengeler Mueller in Frankfurt and Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C. Until 2004, he was also Chairman of the Special Funds Committee of BVI (German Investment and Asset Management Association) and President of the Euro¬pean Asset Management Association.

Klaus Moessle has now returned to law practice and is principal of his law and consultancy firm in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Moessle studied law at the universities of Tuebingen and Geneva. He holds a doctoral degree (Univerity of Tübingen) and a Master’s degree from Columbia University, New York.

As a board member of YOUROPEAN, a pro-European independent NGO which he co-founded in 2013, Moessle has published numerous articles and posts on European topics.
