Leonid Grigoryev

Professor, Higher School of Economics

Leonid Grigoryev is deputy director and chief of research of Russian Energy Agency and professor of Higher School of Economics.

Since 2005, he was a dean of management of International University (Moscow). From 2004 to 2010 he served as a president of “Institute for Energy and Finance” (IE&F).

From 1997 to 2001 he was a director general of Bureau of Economic Analysis and from 1999 to 2006 he was a member of the Committee for Development Policy under the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. In 1992-1997 he held the position of deputy Minister of Economy and Finance.

The main research fields of Leonid Grigoryev include global and Russian economy, business cycle, forecasting, global energy and climate problems, property rights, corporate control and privatization, interests of social strata, middle class, capital formation and private finance, etc.

He gained Ph.D. in economics at Moscow State University in 1972.
