Maggie Tiojakin is a writer, translator, editor, creative writing instructor, business communication consultant, as well as co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at B/NDL Studios.
She has published four books and numerous essays both in English and Bahasa Indonesia. In 2016, she joined The Jakarta Post, a leading English daily based in Jakarta, Indonesia, as the Managing Director of The Jakarta Post Writing Center, the educational arm of the media company.
Later on, in 2018, she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at The Post overseeing the newspaper’s digital transformation. In early 2020, another transformation took place at The Post, and the company spun off its creative services into a storytelling agency, B/NDL Studios.
Maggie was tasked to lead The Studios and formulate its game-changing strategy as a boutique communication agency whose services are divided into three parts: learning, content and creative.
At the heart of what the agency does is to serve our partners and build great stories — because as the agency’s co-founder, she believes stories can change lives for the better.
She lives in Jakarta with her family, and in these difficult pandemic times, Maggie is staying at home and striving to capture the stories that matter most.
