Mark Hamilton, a former junior high school teacher, youth camp administrator and college study abroad coordinator, is now a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at American University in Washington D.C.

In recent years, Mr. Hamilton has worked and studied in South Asia, Latin America and a handful of U.S. cities, researching youth attitudes towards conflict, inequality and development.

His current work focuses on religion-development linkages and on the mobilization of corporate and "consumer social responsibility" in the United States and Europe.
