Deputy Features Editor, The New York Sun

Megan Mulligan is the Deputy Features Editor at the New York Sun in New York City.

Prior to joining the Sun, she wrote on international investing for Forbes Magazine for five years. In 2002, Ms. Mulligan was named an Arthur F. Burns fellow by the International Center for Journalists in Washington, D.C., working for Focus magazine in its Berlin bureau.

She has also contributed to the Hamburger Morgenpost, ARTnews magazine and other publications on a freelance basis.

In 1997, before pursuing a career in journalism, Ms. Mulligan also received a National Science Foundation grant to do research at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Mass.

At the laboratory, she worked with Dr. Walter Boron of Yale School of Medicine and Drs. Bruce and Barbara Furie of Harvard Medical School.

Ms. Mulligan received a degree in Economics and Philosophy from Columbia College at Columbia University.

An avid traveler, she has visited more than 30 countries in Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
