Senior Development Specialist for the Middle East and North Africa, Peace X Peace

Molly Mayfield is the Khartoum, Sudan-based Senior Development Specialist for the Middle East and North Africa with Peace X Peace.

In her current role, she is reaching out to individuals and organizations in the greater MENA region to extend the resources of the Global Network for connecting women, communicating across cultures, in order to develop personal relationships and peacebuilding.

Ms. Mayfield previously served as Director of Member Support, Global Network Manager and Coordinator of Peace X Peace’s Women’s Global Initiative.

Prior to joining Peace X Peace, she worked for development organizations while living in Morocco, for an aid and education program for refugees while living in Egypt — and for other organizations with intercultural interests throughout the United States.

Ms. Mayfield’s background in intercultural counseling and language study stems from a lifelong interest in understanding the different ways people conceptualize themselves in the world and in relationship to others. As an undergraduate at the Colorado College she double-majored in Classical Studies and World Religions.

She is also a graduate of the Master of Divinity program at Harvard Divinity School where she studied multicultural counseling. While there, in addition to continuing classical Greek and Latin, and academic French and German, she began to study Arabic.

Ms. Mayfield loves to be outdoors, explore new places — and practice yoga.
