Noreena Hertz is the Associate Director for the Centre for International Business at the University of Cambridge.

She began her career as an expert on Russia and worked for the World Bank advising the Russian government in its economic reforms.

Ms. Hertz has also worked on the Middle East Peace Process with the Palestinian Authority and governments of Israel, Jordan and Egypt.

Ms. Hertz’s work has been published on the Washington Post, the New Statesman, the Observer and the Guardian. She is the author of “The Silent Takeover” and “The Debt Threat.”

Ms. Hertz received her M.B.A. from Wharton and a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from University College London. She then earned her Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge.

She lives in London.
