Rita E. Hauser

Chairwoman of the International Peace Academy

Rita E. Hauser is the president of the Hauser Foundation. She is an international lawyer and was a senior partner for more than twenty years with the New York City law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.

Rita Hauser also served on the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and the Intelligence Oversight Board from 2001 to 2004.

She chairs the International Peace Academy, a research organization affiliated with the United Nations, and she is on the Advisory Board of the International Crisis Group.

Rita Hauser is a director of the International Institute For Strategic Studies in London and the RAND Corporation, as well as the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

She holds advanced degrees from the University of Strasbourg in France, Harvard University and New York University Law Schools and the University of Paris Law Faculty.
