Silja Klepp

Silja Klepp is pursuing a Ph.D. in Berlin.

Ms. Klepp graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin with a degree in cultural anthropology and political science.

Her interests include the design and conduct of empirical research projects in emotionally charged and politically sensitive fields. Silja Klepp is also particularly concerned with issues relating to international migration and refugees, poverty alleviation and the informal employment sector.

While she has conducted most of her studies in Italy, lately she stayed in Zambia exploring the informal economic sector of the capital Lusaka with a Zambian-German research team.

On top of her studies, Ms. Klepp likes acting and dancing.
