Steven Loranger

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ITT Industries

Steven R. Loranger was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of ITT Industries, Inc. — a Fortune 500 global multi-industry company — in June 2004, and elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in December 2004.

Before coming to ITT Industries, Mr. Loranger was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Textron Inc. At Textron, Mr. Loranger oversaw the company’s manufacturing businesses — including aircraft and defense, fluid and power systems, automotive, industrial products and components.

Prior to Textron, Mr. Loranger spent 21 years in a variety of leadership positions at Honeywell and its predecessor company, AlliedSignal. Most recently, Mr. Loranger served as President and CEO of Honeywell’s Engines, Systems and Services business, comprised of the engines businesses as well as the environmental control systems, electric power and engine systems and services businesses.

Mr. Loranger served as an officer and pilot in the United States Navy from 1975 to 1981.

Mr. Loranger is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Colorado, where he earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in science. He is a member of the Business Roundtable — and serves on the boards of the National Air and Space Museum and the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.
