Thérèse Delpech

Director of Strategic Affairs, French Atomic Energy Commission

Thérèse Delpech is director of strategic affairs at the French Atomic Energy Commission — and senior research fellow at the Center for International Studies in Paris.

She is also a commissioner of the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission, member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies' Council, member of RAND Europe's Advisory Board, and international advisor to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

In 1999, she chaired the UN Advisory Board for Disarmament Matters. And from 1995 to 1997, she served as advisor to French Prime Minister Alain Juppé for politico-military affairs.

In addition, she is the author of L'Héritage nucléaire (Complexe, 1997), La Guerre Parfaite (Flammarion, 1998) — and Politique du Chaos (Le Seuil, 2002).
