Ansgar Graw is the senior political correspondent for the German national newspapers Die Welt and Welt am Sonntag, the influential regional newspapers Berliner Morgenpost and Hamburger Abendblatt and the website welt.de. He covers all facets of U.S. politics, especially foreign affairs and security policy as well as White House and congressional issues.

A historian and political scientist, Mr. Graw was educated at the University of Hamburg. He is the author of several books, including Der Freiheitskampf im Baltikum (Erlangen, 1990) and the biography Gerhard Schröder: Der Weg nach oben (Econ, 1998).
